I have just finished reading Surviving Schizophrenia and felt compelled to find a blog or site to leave my comments. I could not put this story down, one of the very few books i managed to get 'lost' in. I wish to say thank you to Louise for sharing her life story and experiences and giving me a better understanding of this illness that many people are affected by, sometimes without support. Laura.
That is a lovely thing to hear, Laura, thank you so much. As you have gathered, I am on a quest to further understanding of mental health problems: with writing in general, and this aim in particular, I feel I have found my vocation.
I find it hard to express how much comments such as yours mean to me - both in confirming that I am on the right path, and encouraging me to continue along it.
